Hytera PTC760

Introduction

The Hytera PTC760 TETRA radio is the big brother of PTC680 and same like  his little brother stands as a testament to the fusion of cutting-edge engineering and user-focused design. The key differences  between PTC680 and PTC760 can be found on the Hytera website and each device datasheet.

While rooted in the robust foundation of TETRA technology, it elevates communication standards with the integration of an Android platform and LTE capabilities in a single device.
This first pioneering combination not only ensures secure and efficient communication but also introduces a groundbreaking concept to the market: the Hybrid mode, revolutionizing the landscape of TETRA radios.
In applications ranging from public safety to transportation and industrial sectors, the PPTC760 excels in delivering crystal-clear voice communication and seamless data transmission, even amidst the most demanding environments.

Adaptation for Ham Radio Use

Hamtetra radio users will find the Hytera PTC760 TETRA to be a versatile addition to their arsenal. While primarily designed for professional use, the device can be adapted for ham radio operation with relative ease. By programming the radio to operate within amateur radio bands, users can unlock a wealth of communication opportunities.
The frequency range of the Hytera PTC760 TETRA cannot be expanded. However, this limitation is inconsequential due to the device’s factory-wide frequency range, eliminating the need for any expansion.

Programming

To program the Hytera PTC760 TETRA  you’ll need a compatible programming cable and Hytera MDMLite software. Additionally, for firmware upgrades, the Hytera MDMLite Firmware package corresponding to the desired firmware version is required. Alternatively, firmware can be upgraded remotely through MDMLite.

Programming Cable

Programming the Hytera PTC760 TETRA is a straightforward process thanks to the availability of dedicated programming cable. This cable facilitate seamless communication between the radio and programming software, allowing users to customize settings, configure channels, and update firmware with ease.
